BESSEMER CITY, NC — Precision Drive Systems (PDS), a global provider of precision motor spindles, expert support, and repair near Charlotte, NC, has announced that it has hired Gaylon Gregory as Sales Manager for its metalworking division.
“Gaylon’s background as a machinist and sales engineer makes him the perfect person to oversee the sales of PDS’ metalworking division,” said Robert Turk, President of PDS. “Over his 30-year career, he has demonstrated high technical aptitude and impressive sales performance. We are excited to add his unique combination of skills to benefit our metalworking industry clients.” As the Sales Manager for PDS’ metalworking division, Gaylon will build relationships with customer accounts, cross-selling PDS solutions, and collaborate with consulting engineers and system automation integrators to find, engineer, and acquire new business for PDS.
Gregory began his career as a CNC machinist for Parker-Hannifin in Hillsborough, NC. He has worked as a machine tool sales engineer at Wrenn Machine Tools in West Columbia, SC, and Single Source Technologies in Atlanta, GA. For 11 years, he was president of Cape Lookout Manufacturers, Inc., which manufactures fiberglass components and boats for the marine industry. He then became a Machine Tool Product Manager at Kearney Machinery and worked as a sales engineer in business development at Broetje-Automation before joining PDS. Gregory graduated from Louisburg College in Louisburg, NC, and earned his Machinist Diploma from Durham Technical Community College in Durham, NC.
