BESSEMER CITY, NC — Precision Drive Systems (PDS), a global provider of precision motor spindles, expert support, and repair services near Charlotte, NC, has announced that they have hired William Barrett as Inside Sales Account Manager for new engineered products and services.
“Bill’s background as an electrical and product application engineer makes him the ideal fit to lead our inside sales activities,” said Robert Turk, President of PDS. “His career has demonstrated high technical aptitude in the manufacturing and wood processing sectors. Bill has valuable machine troubleshooting and design experience in robotics, pneumatics, electromechanical systems, and manufacturing automation systems.” Bill will build relationships with key customer accounts by cross-selling PDS solutions. He will collaborate with consulting engineers and automation system integrators to identify and acquire new business for PDS.
Bill joins PDS from WEINIG where he served as a Design Engineer and previously as a Controls Engineer for Corning Life Sciences in Durham, NC. He has worked in PLC and robotic programming and troubleshooting, automation controls, and project management. He is an Electrical Engineer graduate from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte.
